Braddock Heights Barracudas

Hi everyone! My name is Ava Wilson, and I’m excited to return as Head Coach of the Barracudas. I’ve been part of the Braddock swim community since I was 8 years old and previously coached the 9/10 and 15/18 age groups. Swimming has always been a big part of my life. I’ve been swimming club since I was 5, including year-round with TIBU in Montgomery County, competed in high school, and finished my swimming career at West Virginia University. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from WVU and am currently pursuing my Master’s in Health Information Management and Technology through the University of Maryland. I’m thrilled to be back and look forward to a great season, go Barracudas!

My name is Kayla Hodor and this is my first year coaching. I previously volunteered as a junior coach for two summers during high school and I am so happy to return this year! I am a senior in college and will be graduating with a degree in psychology. I was on the Braddock Heights Barracudas swim team from when I was 9 to 18 years old. I was also on the varsity swim team all four years of high school. I am so excited for the swim season to start!

My name is Sydney Hector. I swam with the Barracudas for 6 years and Middletown High School for 4 years. This is my first year coaching. I am currently a student at Frostburg State University and am double majoring in Biochemistry and Music Performance.

My name is Logan Cole. I am seventeen years old, I'll be a senior next year. I love working with kids, and I've been swimming for the Barracudas for five years. In that time, I've been helping as a junior coach for the summer seasons and for the spring and fall clinics. I'm the oldest of five kids, and in addition to loving swim, I am a bladesmith. I'm excited to get to coach this summer! 

Hi, my name is Phiona Snyder and this is my first year coaching! I'm a rising junior at MHS and have swam on the high school team for the past two years. I've also swam for Braddock since 2018. In 2022, I got the opportunity to start junior coaching for the Barracudas and fell in love with it. I really enjoy passing on what I have learned and helping kids meet their swim goals. I look forward to being on deck this year as a coach!

Hi, my name is Anna Beth Bladen. For the past two years I have been a junior coach, and this is my first year being a coach. I am a rising junior in high school and have just finished my second season for Middletown's swim team. I have been swimming for five years and truly love it. I want to help younger kids develop their skill and enjoy swim as much as I do
